Jan Alba - Flute and Saxophone

Bio

Jan’s experience on the flute spans over thirty years. In addition to her classical background, Jan is able to improvise easily with most styles of music.  She began her collaboration with singer/guitarist Rusty Crowell in December 2000 when they were each recruited by a mutual friend to play in a Christmas Eve service. Following the event they agreed to explore how their divergent backgrounds would complement each other. 

Together, they create a modern and innovative interpretation of many well known songs. 

Jan is also the principal flutist of the Tri-County Symphonic Band. She records and performs with various other artists in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area. Jan is the office manager for Music for People, Inc. and is currently enrolled in their musicianship and leadership program.
